The Book

Shoot the Dog launched in 2013 to celebrate the joyful lives of dogs and the vital role they play as members of our families.

We are now photographing for Shoot the Dog: Volume Four.

Wow your friends and immortalise your puppy’s sweet face by featuring them in this professionally-made, hand-stitched coffee table book.

We want to capture your doggy’s personality in all their goofy, gorgeous glory. Join us for a fun-filled portrait session either in the studio, or at the park or beach - whichever works best for you and your dog.

Register now and we will ask you in for a relaxed audition.

Once we have photographed all of the dogs, there will be an 18-month turnaround time to allow for book production.

The Cause

Shoot the Dog is a confronting title to highlight what we’re all about - saving doggy lives. Every single $100 participation fee goes directly to an animal rescue group. With the target of 250 participants, that’s a massive $25 000 going straight to helping pets find their forever homes. .

Sadly, 250 000 unwanted pets are destroyed each year in Australia alone. Our mission is to raise awareness and financially support animal rescue groups who do wonderful work to reverse this horrible waste of life.
